Atamiza, Inc. is a US-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2017 by Christina and Matt Berlin, who have over 14 years of experience directing community and economic development efforts in Kenya. As producers of content for film, TV, games, and online channels, the Berlin’s created Atamiza by uniting the power of their professional networks, which span technology, design, education, production, and creative publishing.

We are aligned with Kenya’s response to the landmark African Union Agenda 2063, in which three of the country’s top-level goals are to:

  1. support the expansion of technology’s role in higher education,
  2. engage in youth outreach, and
  3. establish incubation hubs for emerging local talent.

Our focus is on project-based training for the creative industries. We provide practical exposure to video game, film, TV, music, and visualization production by leveraging professional instructors from partner companies.

Through workshops, master classes, competitions, and other activities, our beneficiaries will build both technical abilities and soft skills such as collaboration, creative problem solving, and professional communication.

Training in these areas will not only provide students with the foundation needed to find gainful employment in creative industries such as computer & video games, animation, visual effects, and music, but those skills are also transferable to a number of other industries such as aerospace, automotive, healthcare, architecture & design, and civil engineering.
